Gothic Festival Manchester 2017

Following the success of last year’s Gothic Manchester Festival on The Gothic North, this year’s event will be focused on the topic of Gothic Style(s).

The festival offers something for every Gothic and Horror enthusiast, from the body-beautiful horror in Nicholas Winding Refn’s chilling vision of the modern Gothic world of fashion, to a catwalk devoted to Goths and steampunks showcasing the latest North West street style.

The diverse series of screenings, exhibitions, readings and book launches centres on the Manchester Centre for Gothic Studies’s annual festival conference, this year entitled Gothic Styles: Gothic Substance; a collection of accessible papers delivered by a mixture of students, experienced academics and Gothic enthusiasts.

The Gothic Manchester Festival represents a popular venture into the dark side of Mancunian culture and is the perfect precursor to our guests’ Halloween celebrations.
